Audrey Pinson is a concept-driven photographer whose work blends documentary realism with symbolic storytelling. Drawing inspiration from history, social issues, and identity, she uses visual metaphors to explore complex themes. Whether capturing the lived experiences of marginalized communities or reimagining historical narratives, her images often evoke a sense of nostalgia and introspection.
Audrey Pinson (b. 2003) is a junior and photojournalism major at the University of Missouri - Columbia with a minor in Fine Art. She currently works as a photojournalist for the Missourian and as an intern for MyrtleHaus Magazine, an art-focused and woman-led publication that features local artists in the St. Louis area. She also works as a photographer and content creator for Turning Point, a homeless shelter in Columbia, that aims to destigmatize the concept of homelessness and depicts clients in an accurate light. She has a deep passion for storytelling and visual art which has guided her to take advantage of these kinds of opportunities.
In her free time, Audrey enjoys hiking, singing and playing guitar, journaling, indulging in all you can eat sushi, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies.
